Ok ya ya ya...it's been a month since I did anything with this blog...sorry....
Here are my 3 thoughts for today.
1. I saw 3 people today putting money in the parking meters today. It's Saturday. Meters don't need to be fed on Saturdays. I wonder how much the city makes from idiots feeding the meters on Saturdays and Sundays? I chuckle and roll my eyes every time I see people doing this. Granted, there isn't anything posted that says you only feed the meters Monday thru Friday, but still. I also got a great parking spot because it was in front of a sign that said "10 min parking M-F". Today starts with an S and I will park there for longer than 10 minutes with out penalty.
(The following are my discoveries for today.)
2. Charlie Parkers Diner. Went there for the first time today. I'm kicking my own ass for not going there sooner. What is wrong with me?? Really. It's so damned good! I have lived in Springfield for 9 years and never went there. It has even been featured on a Food Network show and I still didn't go. Sheesh. This place will certainly be on our mind from now on. Baby Gwen's screaming for more pancakes was not even heard over the bussle of everything. Frank's chair gymnastic routine was also unnoticed. It was great.
3. Cherry Limeaide from Sonic. Another first for today. That was delish. A little sparkling refreshing goodness. But probably more red #40 dye than I have ever had in one drink...but it was good. I keep hearing how wonderful their combos of drink things are but never tried it. It looks like the possibilities are endless. I think I have just scratched the surface of the Sonic drink. Oh and I was 30 minutes before Happy Hour...but that's ok. It was worth it.
So that was my today so far. It's only 4:00pm so we will see what the rest of today brings. I love days of discovery like this. Makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. :-)

Cherry Limeade, yum. Much better than the regualr Limeade. My husband works next to a Sonic, and I swear, he visits during happy hour 3x's a week. Red 40 will kill him, but he'll be happy.
