Mixed emotions

The movers come in 12 hours.

Tomorrow is going to be insane. I have no idea if I will come out of tomorrow with all of my sanity. I'll keep you updated tho.

This is the second longest place I have lived in. I lived in my childhood home my whole childhood. Never moved. Same little 'burb house. It was cute and nice.
Then as most of us do moved to college, in and out of dorms, different apartment every year or so. Then I met KA hubby and we bought this house. We have lived here for 7 years and 1 month.
I walked down the stairs in my wedding dress in this house.
We have brought home 3 babies to this house.
2 babies have taken their first steps here.
Lots of firsts here.

So tomorrow is a day to make some new firsts. We are moving to the other side of town into a house that is the complete opposite of this one.
Old house. Smaller lots. Neighbors that know each others names. Kids running around. People walking their dogs. Beautiful park with in walking distance.
It will be a nice change.

We are really trying to focus on the positive with the kids too. Telling them about all the new things we will be doing. All the new places we will be closer to. I did not tell Aili this is her last night in her room. Just that tomorrow we will be in the new house. She will be with a friend for most of the day. Frank will be with us for most of the day. He is much more easy going and I think viewing some of the changes will help him. We have also been going thru this process for almost 4 months. So we have answered all the questions multiple times. The have seen their new rooms. They have been a large part of this undertaking. Helped pick out kitchen counter tops, cabinets, floor sanders and tagged along for hours and hours at Lowe's. I think that has really helped both of them. I'm hoping all of their involvement is going to make this transition less scary and go smoothly.

This is a big kicker....we will save Aili's Catholic school tuition for next year in property taxes. That makes it all worth it right there. Knowing that our kids can go to Blessed Sacrament School means the world to us.

I guess I better sign off. Big day tomorrow.
